Linuxjunkies Foundation introduces FLOSSit.org
FLOSSit.org is a community website with something different approach. Here at FLOSSit.org, users can post links to FLOSS content on the web. Other users may then vote the posted links up or down, causing them to appear more or less prominently on the home page. Users who submit articles, which are liked and subsequently received “karma”, points which a user receives as a reward for submitting interesting articles. Every user can vote, bury (help remove spam), and comment on stories.
All content and access to the site is free, but registration is compulsory for certain elements, such as voting for stories, submitting stories and commenting on stories.
Linuxjunkies Foundation believes that it is a good effrot towards a FLOSS-dedicated news syndication or publishing portal where a user gets more importance with a form of non-hierarchical, democratic editorial control.
